Application Deadline

The application deadline for the Fall Start (September) is June 2, 2027. 

*Students can only apply to one selective program per term.

Admission Requirements 

  • Submit proof of High School Completion - High School Diploma, copy of final transcript or GED/HiSet score report
  • Register for a mandatory Health Careers Information session.
  • Submit Documents to admissions@bhcc.edu  
    • Submit a copy of valid driver’s license (front & back)
    • Submit copy of valid EMT card (front & back)
    • Submit a current American Heart Association, Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Card 

Social Security Number Requirement 

An active Social Security Number (SSN) is mandatory to participate in the clinicals for the BHCC Surgical Technology program. Please be aware that an SSN is also a strict requirement for maintaining a Surgical Technology license in the state of Massachusetts. Without an SSN, students will not be eligible to complete clinical placements or obtain licensure. You must have a valid SSN 2-4 weeks before your clinical rotation begins. 

Immunizations & Physical Exam Requirement 

If accepted, failure to meet the health/immunization requirements deadline by the date on the acceptance letter will result in removal from the program. View more information about clinical placement requirements

CORI/SORI Background Check Process

If accepted into the program, as a prerequisite for a clinical placement or internship this program requires that all students must undergo a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check and a Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) check.
