Nursing Selective Program Info

• The application deadline for the Spring Start (January) is October 02, 2026.
• The application deadline for the Fall Start (September) is February 12, 2027. 

*Students can only apply to one selective program per term.   

Program Options

• Day Option: Meets twice a week for face-to-face class time  
• Alternative Option: Meets once a week for a face-to-face class and on-line once a week for an asynchronous class (allows students to take online class on your own schedule). 

For both options, Lab meets once a week on campus and Clinical ranges from 7 to 24 hours a week. Clinical can be held during the day, evening, or weekend. View the program of study. 

Admissions Requirements 

High School Requirement 

• Submit proof of High School Diploma, GED, and or HISET  
• A copy of a high school diploma or an official GED/HiSet certificate may be submitted in person with a photo ID or may be sent via email directly from a school official.  
• International high school diplomas and transcripts outside of the US may need an official translation and evaluation. 

Mandatory Nursing Information Session 

Applicants must attend an on-campus Nursing Information session. The information session is valid for 1 year from the application deadline. 

If you are more than 15 minutes late, your attendance will not be counted, and you will have to attend another in-person session.

Required Prerequisites Courses (All grades must be a C or higher.) 

• CHM: One year of high school chemistry with lab or one semester of college chemistry with lab
  • CHM 120 satisfies the college-level chemistry requirement
• College Writing ENG 111
• BIO-203 Anatomy/Physiology I & Lab - Must be taken within 10 years of the application deadline.  
• MAT-097 Foundations of Algebra or placement above MAT 097  
  • If college-level math was completed at another institution, an equivalent to Math 097 or higher is required. 

TEAS Exam 

The TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is a standardized, multiple-choice exam used by nursing and allied health schools to evaluate an applicant's academic readiness. Published by Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI), it covers four core subjects: Reading, Math, Science, and English/Language Usage.

• Must be taken in-person. No remote scores are accepted.
• Must score a minimum of 60% in all four subjects.  
• Official TEAS Scores must be less than a year old.
• Maximum attempt of 3 times in a year. The year begins on the date of your first exam.
• You may retake the TEAS exam only after a minimum of 30 days have passed since your previous attempt.   
• Individual section scores from multiple attempts will not be combined. The single highest composite score from one qualifying attempt will be used for evaluation.

College 

We will accept unofficial college transcripts for application review. However, if you are admitted, you are required to submit official transcripts. Failure to provide official documentation will result in withdrawal from the program. View our transcript policy on the bottom of the Admissions homepage.

Immunizations & Physical Exam Requirement 

If accepted, failure to meet the health/immunization requirements deadline by the date on the acceptance letter will result in removal from the program.

CORI/SORI Background Check Process 

ALL Medical Imaging Students must complete the CORI/SORI background check process. This will be completed during orientation, and YOU MUST bring the required documents with you. A valid form of ID or a clear photocopy of a valid ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. A copy of the ID will be submitted along with the CORI form.
