Are scholarships still needed now that there is "tuition-free" community college?

The answer is a resounding YES. Free community college tuition is not available to all students attending BHCC.  Of the 16,943 students currently enrolled, 4,989 receive some amount of free tuition. The total estimated cost to attend community college full-time is $21,000. Only $8,400 of that cost is covered by the Massachusetts Free Community College program.
