BHCC’s Enterprise Center for Entrepreneurship and Training (ECET) supports entrepreneurs, small business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community members in Chelsea, Everett, and surrounding communities.

ECET provides practical, hands-on training designed to strengthen business operations, improve financial management, enhance leadership capacity, and support long-term growth. Programs combine applied instruction with real-world examples and direct access to experienced professionals.

Our offerings include:

  • Certification training
  • Financial literacy workshops
  • One-on-one advisory services

All programs are open to the public.

Standard tuition varies by course and is listed under each program.

If you live or work in Chelsea or take classes in Chelsea:

Through a partnership with the City of Chelsea (funded through 2025), eligible Chelsea residents and employees may enroll in select programs at no cost.

Each course includes:

This course helps entrepreneurs develop awareness of beliefs, thought patterns, and behaviors in order to generate solutions and make more conscious business decisions. This course focuses on developing customer service skills, professional communication, conflict resolution, and high-quality service experiences within the hospitality and service industry. Participants will strengthen communication skills, learn techniques for handling difficult situations, develop professional service standards, and explore strategies for creating a culture of service excellence.

Financial Planning

Offered free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals who live or work in Chelsea, this course equips entrepreneurs and small business owners with the essential financial and management skills needed to start, grow, and sustain a successful business.

Participants will gain practical knowledge across key areas of entrepreneurship, including business registration and planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, funding opportunities, and understanding financial statements. The course also covers productivity tools, strategies for scaling a business, and best practices for maintaining long-term financial stability.
