Electric Power Utility Technology Selective Program Info

The EPUT application has two parts. Part one is the BHCC application and satisfaction of the following requirements:

Part One

Application Deadline: TBD 

Admissions Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent by the time the program begins.
  • Take Accuplacer Math and English test:
    • Score 262 or higher on QAS
    • Must place into ENG111 or ELL 103
      • WritePlacer 4 or higher and Next Generation Reading score 259 or higher  
      • WritePlacer 5 or above (no Next Generation Reading required) OR
      • WritePlacer ESL 6 or above

Testing Waivers

English Math
English requirement satisfied by any one of these: 
  • HS GPA <10 years 
  • SAT ENG 500+ <10 years 
  • ACT ENG 22+<10 years 
  • AP ENG credit 
  • ENG-095 or higher completed 
  • ELL-103 completed 
  • Accuplacer English placement into ENG-111* 

Math requirement satisfied by either of these: 

Accuplacer QAS score 262+ 
 
MAT-097 course or higher completed 

Part Two

After successfully completing the above requirements (Part ONE), applicants will receive a link to apply directly to Eversource. This application requires the following: 

  • A Cover letter explaining why you are interested in this profession and working for Eversource
  • A Transcript of your high school and college coursework if you have earned college credit already.
  • A Resume  
  • An Agility Test with the Eversource
