AI for Small Business & Entrepreneurs

Discover how artificial intelligence can help you launch, grow, and strengthen your business. This hands-on course introduces entrepreneurs, small business owners, and aspiring business leaders to practical AI tools that can streamline daily operations, improve productivity, and support smarter decision-making.

Participants will learn how to use AI for business planning, market research, marketing, content creation, customer communication, and problem-solving while maintaining the creativity, judgment, and authentic voice that are essential to successful entrepreneurship. The course also explores responsible and effective AI practices that can help save time, generate new ideas, and improve business performance.

What You'll Learn

Through hands-on activities based on real business challenges, participants will learn how to:

    Use Claude and Claude Cowork for real-world business tasks
  • Write effective AI prompts
  • Build and maintain an AI-powered business knowledge base
  • Identify and define business problems before applying AI
  • Design simple automated workflows
  • Develop responsible AI practices for their business

Participants will complete practical projects they can use in their own businesses, including an AI knowledge base, a documented automation, a one-page business AI policy, and a 90-day AI implementation roadmap.

Prerequisites

No prior AI experience is required.
Participants should have basic computer skills and be comfortable using a laptop, web browser, and email.
A Mac or Windows laptop is required.

AI Tools

Access to Claude AI will be provided by BHCC for the duration of the course at no additional cost to students.

Certificate of Completion

Participants who successfully complete five course assignments and attend the live capstone presentation will receive a Certificate of Completion.

There are no exams.
