Six Bunker Hill Community College Students Named Semifinalists for Prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is proud to announce that six outstanding students have been named semifinalists for the highly competitive Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, one of the nation’s most generous and prestigious awards for community college transfer students.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation recently announced 485 semifinalists selected from a nationwide pool of more than 1,300 applicants, representing 224 community colleges across 37 states.
"We are extraordinarily proud of our students who have been named semifinalists for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship,” said BHCC President Pam Eddinger. “Their achievements reflect the determination, talent, and brilliance present throughout our community. We are deeply grateful to the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation for its unwavering support of community college students.”

The Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship provides comprehensive support that extends far beyond financial assistance, recognizing that admission and enrollment are only the beginning. Selected Cooke Transfer Scholars receive personalized educational advising from the Foundation’s Deans of Scholar Support, who guide them through the transition to a four-year institution and help prepare them for future careers. Scholars also gain access to transformative opportunities including internships, study abroad experiences, and graduate school funding, as well as inclusion in a thriving community of more than 3,800 fellow Cooke Scholars and Alumni who provide mentorship and networking connections throughout their academic and professional lives.
