Team BHCC Veterans Raises More Than $5,000 for Home Base at 17th Annual Run to Home Base

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, nine members of Team BHCC Veterans, including BHCC student veterans, members of the BHCC Police Department, College staff, and friends, participated in the 17th Annual Run to Home Base at Fenway Park. The annual event raises funds for Home Base, a national nonprofit dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for Veterans, Service Members, Military Families, and Families of the Fallen.

Through their fundraising efforts, Team BHCC Veterans raised more than $2,000 in support of Home Base. Bunker Hill Community College matched the funds raised and provided additional support, bringing the College's contribution to $3,000. Together, these efforts resulted in a total donation of $5,350, with all proceeds directly supporting Home Base's mission.

The event highlighted BHCC's ongoing commitment to supporting military-affiliated students and fostering meaningful opportunities for engagement beyond the classroom. Team BHCC Veterans' participation and fundraising success reflect the strength of the College community and its dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of Veterans, Service Members, and their families.
