BHCC Welcomes International Students
Thursday, October 6, 2022
Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) welcomes hundreds of international students from more than 100 countries to our campuses annually. On September 16, 2022, BHCC welcomed new and returning international students during a reception outside the G-Building. On this sun-filled afternoon, students met faculty, staff, and administrators of the College and enjoyed pizza and cake with their peers.“We are a global community college, and we welcome everyone to come and take advantage of the experience of being in higher education in the United States,” said BHCC President Pam Eddinger. “We are the gateway for the higher education exploration. Some students stay in the Greater Boston area, and some travel across the country because of the connections they have made here at BHCC.”
BHCC provides a friendly, welcoming environment for its international student population, offering opportunities to make new friends and pursue diverse interests on and off campus. Ramy Mohamed, a Student Ambassador from Egypt, described BHCC as “welcoming, inclusive, and supportive.”
Keila Veiga Delgado, BHCC Student Ambassador from Cape Verde, said, “I have been here for a year, and it has been amazing. I felt welcome when I arrived.” Keila is in the paralegal program and remarked on the affordability of BHCC.
