President Eddinger Interviewed on What the Pandemic Exposed and the Promise of “A Just Recovery”

The Mary Christie Institute has hosted a series of interviews with leaders from higher education and healthcare on the emotional and behavioral health of teens and young adults.

In a recent interview, President Eddinger described how the events of this past year had shone a light on decades-long disinvestment in the social networks that are critical to community college students’ success; and how a “just recovery” could impact their mental health and wellbeing in preventative, sustainable ways.

“Unless the economy rebounds unless we get childcare back unless we get K-12 back, we’re not going to have a recovery from the fifteen percent down that we had for the community colleges,” said President Eddinger.
