BHCC Students and Staff Recognized at Boston PIC 2017 Annual Meeting

On Wednesday, September 27, the Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) hosted its 2017 Annual Meeting at the Federal Reserve Bank Auditorium to celebrate the council’s impact this past year and establish next steps to further the agenda of workforce development in Boston.
Boston PIC Chair and First Vice President and COO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Kenneth C. Montgomery invited Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Boston Public Schools Superintendent Tommy Chang and Massachusetts Labor and Workforce Development Secretary Rosalin Acosta to speak at the event.
At the event, the PIC recognized individuals who embody the PIC mission and make the work possible. 2017 PIC Achievers included Kathleen O’Neill, Director of the College’s Single Stop program, as well as BHCC student Genesis Carmona, Maximo Pimentel and Tyler Thomas, and alumna Shadé Johnson.
