Wednesday, May 31, 2017
On May 30, 2017, Governor Baker and City of Boston Mayor Walsh announced The Boston Bridge program, a tuition-free college affordability program for 2017 high school graduates in the City of Boston. The Boston Bridge program allows City of Boston high school graduates to enroll at Bunker Hill Community College, Massachusetts Bay Community College or Roxbury Community College.
Tuition and mandatory fees will be covered by the City of Boston. Graduates must first qualify for the Mayors tuition-free community college program and the Governors Commonwealth Commitment program. Students will be required to complete their associate degree within two-and-a-half years and must major in one of the Mass Transfer pathways before transferring to a qualified Massachusetts public college or university.
