Bunker Hill Community College Defines Community
Monday, November 21, 2016
On Thursday, November 10, 2016, BHCC faculty, staff and students gathered on the Charlestown Campus lawn in a demonstration of civil unity. Over 80 community members came together for a group photograph, re-affirming their commitment to BHCC’s core mission, vision and values. Ribbons were handed out to those present as a symbol of school pride.
Then, on Tuesday, November 15, a photo booth was installed on campus for all to take photos in front of a bhcc.edu backdrop. Photo strips were printed in both black and white and in color and were available instantaneously. After the fun photo was taken, each participant was given the opportunity to make a 15-second video answering the question, “What does community mean to you?” Some of the most common responses included “coming together and working together as one” and “being supportive and welcoming to those around you.”
