Lesley University and Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) are excited to announce a new Joint Admissions transfer program for BHCC students to gain admission to Lesley University while enrolled at BHCC. Participants complete their Associate degree at BHCC with in-depth advising support and an integrated transition plan to complete their Bachelor’s degree at Lesley on campus or online.

The Lesley-Bunker Hill Joint Admissions Program is designed for students to:
- Complete their Associate degree at Bunker Hill Community College
- Earn credits that will transfer to their Bachelor program at Lesley
- Plan prerequisite courses for their intended major at Lesley
- Enter Lesley as a Junior with established relationships with Lesley’s faculty and staff
- Enter Lesley familiar with its campus community and administrative procedures
- Understand and plan for the financial aid options available for degree completion
The Joint Admissions Program is an ideal option for Bunker Hill students interested in pursuing further study in one of Lesley University’s four pillars of academic expertise: Education, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Art & Design, and Liberal Arts & Business. Lesley’s programs offer flexibility including in-person day and evening courses, online and virtually synchronous courses, and select programs that are available fully online.

Transitioning to Lesley University
1. Intent to Enroll
Credit Threshold: When students reach 36 credits (or later on a case-by-case basis), Lesley will invite them to complete an Intent to Enroll form, confirming their major and start date.
Flexibility: Students can adjust their major and start date before enrolling.
2. Additional Admissions Requirements
Graduation Checkpoint: At approximately 48 credits, Lesley counselors will assist with the final steps, including ordering official transcripts (Lesley covers the fees).
For Art Applicants: Support will be provided for portfolio submissions.
No Fees or Essays: No application fees, personal statements, or letters of recommendation are required.
3. Admission Confirmation
Admission is contingent upon completing an Associate degree at BHCC with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
Accepted students receive an official acceptance letter from Lesley University.
Transfer Credit Policies
- General Education: A conferred Associate degree satisfies all but two General Education course requirements.
- Credit Transfer:
- Up to 90 credits for BA, BS, or BLA programs.
- Up to 66 credits for BFA programs in the College of Art and Design.
Student Engagement & Support
Before Acceptance
- Attend BHCC campus information sessions.
- Tour Lesley University and participate in Open House events.
After Acceptance
- Orientation sessions at BHCC and/or Lesley University.
- Advising appointments at key credit thresholds (15, 36, and 50 credits) via in-person or Zoom meetings.
- Participate in Lesley-sponsored events, campus activities, and student life.
- Join a Joint Admissions cohort with guidance from a Lesley campus navigator.
