After meeting with a representative in Student Central you may be advised to take the Accuplacer. Students who have completed the Accuplacer at another institution may still need to take parts or the entire test at BHCC. You may bring in an official Accuplacer report from another college or university to the Assessment Office (Room B118) at BHCC or call them at 617-228-2377 and identify yourself as an Eversource EPUT candidate. The Assessment Center Coordinator will determine whether your scores qualify to meet the academic application requirements of the EPUT/Eversource program. Please note that the scores may not be handwritten and not every college or university utilizes the same sections of the Accuplacer exam – BHCC requires reading, sentence skills, arithmetic and elementary algebra. Please note, reading and English scores are only valid for two years and math scores are only valid for one year.
In the Assessment Center on the Charlestown campus. Visit the Assessment Center website for testing times and information. Testing is also available on the Chelsea campus, call 617-228-2101 for times and location.
If I have already successfully completed college level coursework, to whom do I send my transcripts?
Students who have successfully completed a college level writing (English composition) course and/or college level math courses with grades of C or better from an accredited college or university should bring a copy of their unofficial transcript to Student Central at BHCC to have it evaluated by an Admissions and Transfer Counselor to determine if the courses will satisfy the academic requirements for application or whether the student will be required to take part or all of the CPT (College Placement Test).
