Steps to a First-time Request for Accommodations
- Step 1: Read the Disability Documentation Guidelines and gather your documentation.
- Step 2: Complete the First-time Student Request for Academic Accommodations and submit your disability-related documentation.
- Step 3: Attend an Initial Access Interview. A DSS staff member will schedule your appointment with you.
- Step 4: Meet with each professor to review your accommodation letter.

Note: Accommodations are not retroactive, and students are encouraged to request accommodations, especially for the first time, at least 2-3 weeks before the start of the semester.
