We discuss many of the challenges of life at the College, as well the ways to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist at Bunker Hill as well. The group is open to all students.

Fundamentals of Weight Lifting focuses on proper form, technique, and breathing to help you move safely, efficiently, and effectively- regardless of your starting point. Fitness Trainer Larry Young.

Activity: Students create a weekly schedule, blocking out times for classes, study, extra curriculars, and personal time.

Reflection: How much time are they spending on procrastination? What adjustments can they make?

Prioritizes mobility- increase joint range of motion, reduce stiffness, and move with greater ease- while integrating complementary training elements that support long-term strength, stability, and injury prevention. Bring out inexpensive lawn games (Jenga, Connect Four, Cornhole) for a fun, casual atmosphere.

Join us for a networking career panel featuring industry professionals who will share insights on their career journeys, networking strategies, and lessons learned along the way. Students will gain practical advice, make meaningful connections, and learn how to confidently navigate professional spaces. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, build your network, and explore career pathways.

This workshop is for students still deciding on the major or career that’s right for them. Students will learn about the Career Planning Process, and be introduced to the six BHCC Pathways as they begin to connect their BHCC Program of Study to their career goals. Students will also use Career Coach, one of BHCC’s free career resources, where they will take the Career Coach Assessment to see what career paths are a good fit for them based on their skills and interests.

(Recommended for students with 30-60 credits and who have attended the Transfer 101 Workshop)

Are you getting close to graduating? This workshop will focus on the final two stages of transferring: Applying and Deciding. Topics that will be covered include: applying to four-year colleges and making informed decisions on which colleges to attend, requesting letters of recommendations, writing your transfer essays, and using the Common Application.

Get energized and centered in this breathing and mindfulness journey. Yusef Hayes will guide you through an active breathwork practice designed to help you uplift and energize. After that there will be another guided meditation to help you relax and de-stress.

No meditation experience is necessary.

Join the free Exploring Leadership Seminar, a 9-week on-campus experience open to all BHCC students. Over the course of 9 weeks, you'll dive into a variety of topics with engaging lectures, interactive activities, and presentations from professionals in the field.

Getting Your Feet Wet in the Field of Psychology and Sociology: Tips and Tricks to finding PT, Summer, or Volunteer Opportunities

In this virtual event, Professor Gagne (psychology) and Dr. MacDonald (sociology) will discuss the steps needed to find part-time jobs, summer internships, or volunteer opportunities in the fields of psychology and sociology. All students interested in working in the field of behavioral science are welcome to attend this virtual event!

We are pleased to welcome prospective first-year students to campus for a tour. Led by an admission counselor, this hour and half visit includes a Bunker Hill application overview and a campus tour. The overview covers the admission process and financial aid, followed up by a student led tour.

Advance registration is required. We will not be able to accommodate walk-in visitors at this time.

Led by BHCC Artist-Scholar Deborah Spears Moorehead, this powerful program weaves together the visual portraiture of artist, Nayana LaFond with traditional song and dance performed by an all-Native American women's ensemble to center the narratives of MMIW.

Join staff from UMass Boston and Bunker Hill as they discuss the Future Beacon Joint Admissions Program between BHCC and UMass Boston! The information session will review how you join the program, key benefits, and what you can expect as a Future Beacon Joint Admissions participant. The Future Beacon Joint Admissions program is for students who have earned fewer than 30 college credits towards their associate's degree. If you are beyond 30 credits, UMass Boston is still able to assist you with advising on transfer credit, the admissions process and any other transfer questions you may have. We encourage you to connect with a UMass Boston Transfer Enrollment Counselor either in-person at BHCC, or to schedule an appointment online!

Practical Utility: Appeals directly to students who commute or use bikes on campus. It’s a high-value skill that saves them money. Engagement: Hands-on learning and demonstration keep students active.
