The Richard and Susan Smith Family Foundation awarded $2.4 million to Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) to establish the Early College program at BHCC, marking the largest private grant awarded in the College’s history.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) was named one of the “Colleges with the Greatest Racial and Ethnic Diversity” by The Chronicle of Higher Education. The list appeared within the publication’s Almanac of Higher Education 2018-19, an annual data report showcasing best in class for enrollment, completion, research and diversity.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) Dean of Academic Support and College Pathways programs Nuri Chandler-Smith appeared on Boston Neighborhood Network’s (BNN-TV) “Neighborhood Network News (NNN).” Dean Chandler-Smith joined NNN Host Chris Lovett to discuss BHCC’s Early College programs at Charlestown High School and Madison Park Technical Vocational High School and the $2.4M grant BHCC received from the Richard and Susan Smith Family Foundation to expand its Early College programs.

On Wednesday, September 26, the Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) hosted its 2018 Annual Meeting at the Federal Reserve Bank Auditorium to celebrate the launch of MassHire, a unified brand for the state’s workforce development boards, and recognize the impact of 2018 PIC Achievers.
