An admissions welcome kit created by Bunker Hill Community College earned a silver award in the national communications contest sponsored annually by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR). The awards, which honor outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges, were announced on March 13 at the NCMPR National Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc., addressed a packed audience of students, faculty, staff and guests in the gymnasium at Bunker Hill Community College on April 14, 2016. His talk, accompanied with some tasty ice cream treats, was part of the College’s highly regarded Compelling Conversations speaker series.

Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh will be the keynote speaker at Bunker Hill Community College’s 42nd Commencement exercises, BHCC President Pam Eddinger announced today. The Commencement exercises will take place on May 21, 2016, on the Charlestown Campus.

Bunker Hill Community College and MassBay Community College are pleased to announce a student radiology team has placed first at this year’s Massachusetts Society of Radiologic Technologists (MSRT) Buzz Bowl competition. The Buzz Bowl was part of the MSRT 85th Annual Conference. This year’s theme was “Pathways to Excellence in Diagnostic Imaging.”

John Michael Kawooya, a BHCC student working as an intern at Raytheon in Waltham, Massachusetts, has won the national Two-Year Program Student Achievement Award from the Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA). This is the second consecutive year that a BHCC student has won the award. Jared Standish, who interned at EMC in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, took home the prize last year. Both students were part of the College’s Learn and Earn program, which offers students paid internships at top companies in Greater Boston.
