About ECET

The Center for Entrepreneurship evolved from a Small Business needs assessment by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, a comprehensive study of small business activity and opportunities in those communities. The ECET supports diverse small businesses, laid-off and underemployed community members and those most acutely impacted by COVID-19.

Supporting the needs of small businesses is an essential investment for the recovery and revitalization of these communities. Community Project Funding would provide material support to these hard-hit communities. The ECET launched in October 2023 with offerings tailored to assist with technology, online consultation, and non-degree training. Workshops include an overview of entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, introduction to grant writing and essentials of marketing.
