Registered Nurse Pinning Ceremony
BHCC’s Registered Nursing Program celebrated graduates with a pinning ceremony on May 16, 2023. Dean of Health Sciences Maryanne Atkinson welcomed everyone and asked students to celebrate their achievements while recognizing family, friends, faculty, and staff who supported them along the way.
Student speakers Stephanie Claire Torres, Caroline McDonough, and Madelyn Soto shared heartfelt speeches about their journey to becoming a nurse and the dedication, courage, and passion required to be a nurse. The ceremony commenced with graduates reciting the Nightingale Pledge, an adaptation of the physician Hippocratic Oath for nurses.
